We’d Like to thank TR Building Solutions for the building of the rear of our dilapidated house, turning an under-utilised space into an open-plan area. 

Being the second time we engaged TR Building Solutions to perform works for us we were confident that we had the right builder. 

Unlike traditional builders TR Building Solutions has no issue with us attending site during works and this we believe this further allowed us to make both minor and major changes that had we not been onsite we would have regretted. 

TR Building Solutions engineered based on our design an area that will not only suit our needs now but has been constructed to allow for a future second level, TR Building Solutions built this second level utilising structural steel to create an opening over 9 metres wide once internal walls were removed yet have minimal impact when we decide to build up as our new area has a ceiling that’s been constructed to support the level above and has the floor already in place!

We found TR Building Solutions very easy to work with and were accommodating to changes when requested. We are delighted with the completed result and have recommended TR Building Solutions to family and friends. 

Communications with TR Building was excellent and they were reliable and speedy with every arrangement from quoting the job and carrying out the job. They were very approachable and very willing to discuss the job and its problems as well advise for a better outcome. As an owner builder I was looking to save costs werevever possiblibe and these guys actually gave a lot oftime as Ill cover in my recomendation.

The first being remedial works, drainage and preparation for my extension. The Builders were extremely courteous and, seemed to have a lot of knowledge and experience. They were very quick in returning a “Scope of Works” which was precise and clear and their quote, which was very reasonable. They didn't even ask for a deposit and said not to pay them for ten days to make sure I was happy with the results. Wow! we need more tradies like these guys - the right positive "nothing too hard" attitude AND they offered much more advice for some unforeseen problems I may endure during my building process.

The second time was to erect my first floor addition, I was surprised at how well they co-ordinated works and worked in with my structural steel contactor to complete the first floor concrete slab which was complex due to the design, even more impressive was the speed they built this and when they had trades booked in such as concrete pumps and concreters not only were they on time but performed the works diligently and the work was second to none. They even came back, cleaned the site and removed all the materials at short notice once I advised them, I had family coming from interstate.

Whilst the third and fourth times I engaged TR Building Solutions were relatively small works they attended out of normal hours due to issues caused by other trades and completed the works efficiently and correctly. “What Professionals”

Being the first time doing renovations to my home, I had serious issues with the Tiler and being timid in nature didn't help. I contacted a few Building resolution companies and ended up going with TR Building Solutions because they very empathetic yet professional. When they came on site they were professional, experienced and most importantly remained independent. They used tools to check and measure all the work done by the Tiler and took photos. They helped me keep my emotions aside and educated me with the industry standards and codes. I knew they was independent when he gave the Tiler credit when it was due yet pointed out flaws. I wish to take this opportunity to share our appreciation of the works performed by TR Building Solutions.

I first met Todd From TR Building Solutions on one of our larger residential projects in Clovelly last year. He was working in conjunction with another builder we had engaged. I was initially impressed by the willingness to assist a friend to complete a difficult job and it was very evident that he was very experienced.

We subsequently took on a project in Kirribilli for North Sydney Council which, amongst other things, was a very difficult set of stairs (suspended and radial) for a public footway. This job had many constraints from working over an existing rock shelf through a natural waterway with exacting tolerances that left no margin for error. TR Building were able to complete this challenging work on time and on budget.

Just prior to Christmas, we engaged TR to erect a small formwork deck for another project in Chippendale. Although a smaller job, this was at very short notice and we were very appreciative they were able to accommodate us in the lead up the Christmas.

I’ve found TR Building Solutions and their team to be professional in every aspect of their work, as well as being very easy to work with. As all builders know, finding good reliable contractors and builders to partner with can be difficult. I received information ahead of our meeting specifically detailing the works to the bathroom and garage. Their website was informative and showed the rather interesting and less glamorous side of renovation work and upon meeting Rodney he made us feel at ease as they were honest, generous with their time and ideas, very reassuring.

​

The photos of previous and similar works presented on their Ipad’s were fantastic along with the knowledge of the works to be undertaken were most certainly a deciding factor.

​

Rodney and Sam arrived on time, I was amazed at how professional these builders presented themselves from their uniform to their manner. Their understanding of our expectations and suggestions along with their industry specific advice has my wife and I in no uncertain terms delighted with this company.

​

I was surprised to receive a detailed tender offer the following day despite being advised that it would take around 48hrs and that was easy to understand and was exactly as per our discussions. Upon our acceptance I was emailed a detailed contract with copies of insurances and Rodney was more than happy to discuss the contract over the phone.

​

During the project the house was always attended by a builder from TR Building Solutions which was reassuring as the position of lighting was critical and this was passed on to all trades and despite some minor changes made by me the project was handed over within two days of the agreed timeframe. What was most impressive was the daily photo updates we received when we were away for 8 days, this was never expected nor was the access to all contract information, certificates and photos on the google drive that we still have access to.

We are delighted with the quality workmanship TR Building Solutions provided and the follow up visit to go over all works once my wife and I had time to look over the completed works was a nice touch.

We write this email to thank you and your workers for their help.

This is an open letter to all potential clients of TR Building.

We were extremely pleased with the service we received when we were planning our unit renovation. TR Building after attending site late Saturday afternoon so My Husband could be available spent several hours onsite going through all the details as we had been planning this renovation for several months.

Over the following weeks TR Building explained the process and assisted with the Body Corporate for approval using the plans we had drawn up by a draftsman they made many practical changes and organised their Engineer to attend the unit and design the structural steel to create the open plan living design we desired and we updated the drafting drawing so the other builders could quote.

TR Building then issued us a full list of works from demolition to painting, they managed to get a cheaper price on the kitchen that we had 4 quotes on and by almost $3000 for the same kitchen but with a stone bench top instead of the cheaper timber we had been quoted their total price was over our budget as was the other quotes we received but their price was detailed.

We will be getting TR Building to redo our bathroom and kitchen now with a different design as we will be using the money to by a house because we must think about the future and the unit will not be big enough for our growing family.

We also needed to complete the works prior to Christmas 2018 and we had to book alternate accommodation due to the entire unit being renovated. They gave us a program that was to have us out for the unit 9 weeks, but they hoped to have us back in in 7 weeks and if it went over the 9 weeks, they would compensate us with the full cost of accommodation and living expenses.

All 4 unit owners in our apartment block would like to pass on our deepest appreciation to the entire team who worked on our building. Having a rear set of stairs that were found to be non-compliant and suffering from cement cancer we engaged TR Building Solutions to replace them.

​

TR Building Solutions returned the tender as promised, once we agreed to move forward with these builders, they had an engineer design the stair, had the handrail manufacturer attend site with photographs so we could select the handrail and provided a detailed drawing as requested by an overseas owner. Nothing appeared to be a problem.

​

The process was simple, support was placed under the stair and over 2 days the cement was demolished and taken away in tip trucks as the driveway could not be blocked. We even received a credit for the two brick piles that weren’t damaged during the cement demolition so could be reused although the engineer allowed the lower one to be completely removed giving us more room for storage.

​

The shape of the stairs was made, the steel supports were placed ready for the new cement. The handrail was measured up and the cement was placed with a concrete pump. The following day a temporary handrail was placed, this was removed almost two weeks later when the new handrail was placed.

​

The support below the stair had to stay in place for three weeks and was removed.

​

We were delighted with the speed that this work was completed and the finished product. We have recommended TR Building to several friends and know they have performed in the same professional manor for one friend so far.​

TRBS assisted in the completion of a $7,200,000.00 project with Calibre Building & Construction PTY Ltd.

Using TR Building Solutions as our structure trade despite themselves being builders and completing concurrent building Projects that I visited, I was immediately impressed by the quality I witnessed from a complete extension well underway to the two-bathroom renovations at varying stages along with completed projects to get an understanding of their ability.

Calibre were able to secure the services of TR Building Solutions as they came highly recommend and as Id lost my structure trade I was pleased to secure TR, it just got better from there.

TR Building Solutions assistance with the challenging works onsite with this project at 4 Florida street Sylvania in building the structure on a sloping site for our unit development including assisting in out of scope works, working out of sequence and finding solutions when the consultants’ drawings simply did not work that enabled the project to continue without stoppage even with the constant bad weather the positive approach was encouraging from start to finish.

TR Building Solutions diligent efforts onsite and ability to accelerate works by working longer hours and increasing resources untimely allowed me to place my project on track due to our tight program.
